Not everyone loves the rose

I know of 2 people that everybody likes. They're the kind of people that if you ask anyone about their oppinion on that person they probably have something good to say about them. Isn't that amazing!?

It's either one of two things; either they are a mirror/chameleon to everyone around them or they are REALLY nice to everyone and everyone accepts them for who they are.

Unless you are someone like this then you probably have someone who dislikes/hates you. But hey..what can you do?

So, just to tell you beforehand, it's impossible for everyone to like you. But don't you just hate how on a site such as Youtube.com you leave one tiny comment of dislike or disagreement on a video and suddenly you have three youtubers flaming you with hatemail? It makes me very irritated. Even if you politely state that it wasn't to your liking, within 2 hours you will have someone sending you hateful messages of, "F*** YOU!! YOU F***N PIECE OF S***!!!! GO DIE IN A HOLE!!!" and just in case you're wondering, yes some jerk sent that exact message to me except that there were not asteriks but actual letters.

Personally I feel bad for people of authority of any kind. Their main purpose is to make things organized and better for everyone and people always seem to have the courage to mock them, slap them in the face, and call them inappropriate names. Think of it as someone pulling you out of the way of a train and then you punching them in the gut. It's the same idea.
Or people are completely convinced that thier opinion is fact. Either that or they are convinced that shouting and screaming obscene things will make you change your opinion on something.
NOOOOOO.... thats the little catch in English language...that's why there is a word for 'opinion' and a DIFFERENT word for 'fact'. Notice the difference in spelling. :)

Take for example Twilight by Stephanie Meyer. (Hey wait! Where are you going?! Don't click anything yet! Just hear me out!! ohhh, come ooon!!)
So...maybe there is someone who is still reading as probably everbody else saw the word 'twilight' and instantly clicked out.
But anyway...Twilight. 3 years ago if you asked anyone in your school, I bet you, they would have no clue what you talking about. As it became more popular everyone seemed to like with a few exceptions. Then suddenly it reached uber popular and suddenly no one liked it...um wait. what? So suddenly because it became famous you suddenly change your mind and decide you don't like it? Um no...sorry thats not how it works...When you see something for the first time you make a decision right then and there whether or not you like it. if someone says they don't like it then too bad. they don't like it and you do. You shouldn't change your mind on something based on what a peer says. (Although if a wise trustworthy adult says something then you should probably reconsider...and also maybe if that 'peer' is a wise trustworthy friend that wouldn't steer you wrong than you should listen.)

Hence, 'not everyone loves the rose'. Even though you like something and everyone seems to like it too there is probably someone out there that absolutely hates it. And if you do get into an arguement, then argue your point politely. Because screaming your opinion doesn't change anything. it just makes your opponent irritated with you and less likely to listen to your point...and it hurts their ears... :P

  1. YOU ARE SO INSIGHTFUL!!!! I hope the typed screaming is not hurting your ears. Anyway, as you already know, I do not like Twilight. I have never before liked it and will continue to not like it (as in, hate it) for a long time. Unless someone changes my mind. But that is unlikely.
